Guide & Instructor Who Can Do It All
A true son of the Pacific Northwest, Todd grew up spending his days surfing the cold waters off the Oregon coast or bombing the endless logging roads on a dirt bike. At 15, he joined a Wildland firefighting crew, extinguishing over burns for a local timber company.
He kept the good times rolling working as a deckhand on a commercial fishing boat. Before long, Todd was ready to stretch his legs and see the world, so he joined the U.S. Air Force. Primarily stationed in Utah and South Korea, he also had deployments to places like Las Vegas NV, Alamogordo NM, Guam, and the Philippines. After separating from the Air Force, he found himself back home in Oregon.
The real question: After all of that, how does he end up him developing and teaching motorcycle classes for day one beginners and curating Adventures Training Tours?
Todd followed his true passion to both broaden his own skill set and teach what he’s learned to others. Everything from how to divine water in the desert from a weathered old rancher, becoming an instructor for TEAM OREGON MSF, Off-Road driving courses with Overland Guru Bill Burke, to even taking an INTRO ADV motorbike course with a local ADV training and tour company. This turned out to be foreshadowing and even an in-person application to work for the company. As it happens, it worked, and he is now one of their lead ADV Motorcycle training instructors and course developers.
While he works as a contract motorcycle trainer for various companies, Todd is working hard to make PNW ADVmoto llc the PNW's go-to motorcycle training company that helps all riders gain the confidence and skills needed to truly enjoy the freedom that riding a motorcycle can bring.
Always working to broaden his own skills, he is also consistently revising the PNW ADVmoto LLC classes & routes to ensure he is providing proven fundamentals as well as the most updated techniques & confidence inspiring experiences for students.
